GCW #19 Page #2

The Andersons would work on a body part; usually the arm and they would twist it, turn it, yank on it, and jump on it until the opponent submitted or until the arm broke.  As a young kid watching this and after hearing stories about Ole and after meeting Ole I would have to believe that at least a couple of the broken arms I saw on TV were for real. The Andersons would defeat many teams over the next couple of years but the biggest feud they had was Mr. Wrestling#1&2.

These two teams battled allover the state and put on some great matches. After Gene left the area Ole hung around and picked up more titles with many different partners including Lars and Arn Anderson, Thunderbolt Patterson, Stan Hansen, Ivan Koloff, Ernie Ladd, Jerry Brisco, and Jacques Goulet. Ole would become a major part of the Georgia area for many years both in the ring and behind the scenes.  He would later persuade Ted Turner to give him a morning time slot after the WWF invaded TBS and took over the 6pm Saturday night time slot.

During the late 70s many different teams came through Georgia and the title would change hands often. The titles would be replaced by the National Tag Team Titles in the winter of 1980.
