I am leaving a ton of great wrestlers out. I cherish these memories and they are as firmly engrained and entrenched in my memory as penny candy, Mikey dying from Pop Rocks, Hank Aaron hitting number 715, OJ rushing for 2,000 yards and my Sonics winning a world title.
Why am I such a fan of this promotion? Well I suppose I am just as nostalgic as the next guy, but there is something more, something intangible, something you can smell and not quite put your finger on, and that is what I will try to convey to you all, that feeling, that wonderful, glorious, suspension of disbelief the feeling of being a fan. Of measuring the week from 11:00 PM Saturday to 11:00 PM Saturday the next week, the excitement of the big monthly Seattle card, the in your face intimacy of seeing matches in a spot town high school gym, the thrill of shaking hands with your favorite wrestler.
