The titles were held up following a match with the Rock 'n Roll Express but the Blondes regained the championship on 12/3/83 by defeating the Express in a rematch. Al Perez and Manny Fernandez defeated the Blondes in April of that same year but were stripped on 6/13/84 for not defending the belts and the Blondes were awarded the titles. Dan Greer replaced Timbs who left the promotion as one half of the tag team champions in July. This version of the Fabulous Blondes held the belts until 9/9/84 when they dropped them to Brett Sawyer (Brett Woyan) & Chicky Starr. The Blondes regained the titles on 10/18 but lost them again on 12/17 to Jerry Oske & Rick Casey (Wendell Cooley). The Wild Maoris, Tudui & Wakahi defeated them for the championship on 1/20/85 and held them until May when the promotion was sold and the titles were renamed the Texas All-Star tag team title.
