Tommy Gilbert debuted for WWC that month and Abdullah The Butcher returned. Killer Karl Krupp won the North American title from Pierre Martel, who got a rematch with his loaded boot. There was a match that was hyped on TV as a match between who could be stronger, as Mighty Igo faced Abdullah in a chain match and on TV their manager proved who was the stronger one. Miguel Perez gave a piece of chain to Igo, who broke it. Then Hugo Savinovich gave a piece to his protege, Abdullah, who when he saw he couldn't broke the chain, attacked Igor with it. A newcomer Ron Cheatam came in but never received a decent push. Killer Karl Krupp got another  German hellion , this time Hans Schroder. Medico 2 won the Caribbean title from Maravilla.     

In April, a heel vs. heel tag team match took place when Los Pastores faced Los Medicos (The Medics) for the North American Tag Team Title, winning the last ones. Bulldog Brower and Crazy Luke Graham returned to the promotion. Andre The Giant also wrestled as the main event in a battle royal. Dory Funk and Terry Funk came to defend the World Tag Team Title, that were just defended once in 1980. Mil Mascaras and Jerry Brisco were there opponents. A junior heavyweight title version held by Les Thornton was defended againat returning Dick Steinborn. Carlos Colón received another NWA Title shot. On that same show two Dominican wrestlers came in to wrestle for the Dominican Republic Title, with Relampago Hernandez defending against Jack Veneno. Veneno won the title back. Pierre Martel arranged a visit of Ricky Martel to wrestle against The Medics for the North American Title. Later on the month Black Gordman debuted for WWC, and two female wrestler appeared, Carol Summers and Lei Lani Kai.

In May there was a match between Hugo Savinovich who wrestled El Cirujano (translated into The Surgeon in English), who become The Medics manager. In a match between Carlos Colón and Killer Karl Krupp, where the North American and Puerto Rican Titlewere on the line, both titles were held up and finally won by Colón. Another heel match between Pastores vs. Medicos took place. Kim Song debuted.  A third Medic was added to the group. Dick Steinborn began a feud with Carlos Colón. Pierre Martel entered in a war against Black Gordman. Los Pastores become Luke Williams and Johnny Miller, as Butch was 'injured' by Los Medicos, that made the war between them.   

June saw Ray Apollon, the wrestler from Trinidad & Tobago returning to WWC. The hottest feud was Pierre Martel vs. Black Gordman. In a match against Los Pastores, Ciclón Negro turned on Jose Rivera, beginning a new feud between former tag team. Daniel Martel came in for the first time in the 80's. The Indian sensation Joe Lightfoot debuted for WWC in that month.  

The war between Jose Rivera and Ciclon Negro continued in July. They had a boxing match as part of their feud. Female mini wrestlers Baby Doll and Diamond Lil came to wrestle. Stan Frazier came in, billed as weighting 500 pounds. Dominican wrestler Jack Veneno returned. Martel Brothers (Daniel & Pierre) wrestled Los Pastores and the winnerwon a Tag Team Title match against the Funk Brothers. The Martel won.  

August saw Carlos Colón winning the hair of Ciclón Negro. After that, Ciclón wore a mask. Invader 2 returned, as a heel. Mr. Pogo debuted for WWC. Sweet Daddy Davis debuted for WWC. Years later he returned as Sweet Daddy Siki. The Kangaroos returned to WWC, only that this time they were Don Kent and Bruno Bekkard.  Veneno returned again. The Brisco Brothers faceLos Pastores for the North American Tag Team Title. Jose Rivera faced Kim Song with Judo Jackets. Joe Lightfoot had  a match against Hugo Savinovich. Invader 1 left our rings claiming that he would not return until he gets a match against Black Gordman. Carlos Colón had a hard road to travel as Hugo Savinovich, Abdullah's manager, said that Carlos had to defeat Mr. Pogo if he want a match against Abdullah. Guess what? He won. John Davidson also came to prove his luck.  

September was the month that saw Invader 1 getting his desired match against Black Gordman, with the taped fist. Pierre Martel won the mask that Ciclon Negro was wearing after losing his hair to Carlos Colón. Mike Graham came to face Les Thornton for Thornton's  Junior Title. After months out of WWC, Gran Apollo returned to the promotion. A rare babyface vs. babyface match took place between Invader & Pierre Martel vs. The Brisco Bothers for the North American Tag Team Title. Finally Carlos Colón got his desired match against Abdullah The Butcher, this time in a barbed-wired match and for the Puerto Rican Title. Jack Veneno also came again, proving that between Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico wrestling promotions there was a great friendship.  

October was a month that saw once again Invader 2 returning, this time to stay. He quickly took on Invader 1 in several types of matches, including a cage match. Chief Thundercloud returned. Super Gladiator appeared for the first time. The Kangaroos took on the Brisco Brothers and won the North American Title. Carlos Colón defeated Harley Race to earn a NWA Title shot. Jose Rivera wrestled Ciclón Negro in a boxing match. Bounty Hunter became Invader 2's manager.  

In November Les Thornton came to defend the Junior Title. He lost it to Joe Lightfoot, but recovered it within weeks. Invader and Super Gladiator formed a successful team. Tommy Gilbert returned. There were a stretcher match between Colón and Abdullah, wrestling over the North American Title. That match saw Abdullah hurting Carlo's right eye and also one of Carlo's brothers interfered to help his brother. In a TV title match, Invader & Super Gladiator won the North American Title from The Kangaroos (Beckard-Kent). Hans Muller appeared in WWC rings. Minis Chico Santana and Carolina Kid were the mini attractions. The last month of the year saw a coal miners match between Invader & Super Gladiator against The Kangaroos. A week later it was a barbed wired match. What a war they had. Armand Hussein was announced as returning but not sure if he ever came back. Pedro Morales was also announced and Pierre Martel received a NWA Title shot on the last 1981 show. Rocky Tamayo was announced in that show. Jerry Brisco received a Junior Title shot and athe end of the year, Carlos Colón faced Abdullah The Butcher in a super free match. As you saw, 1981 was another great year in our history.
