Jerry caught Bill with a sunset flip for a three count. I raised the faces hands and they were gone. I started through the ropes and Bill grabbed me. He started arguing that Stubbs had held his trunks. Marie LeVeaux got behind me and got down on all fours, and you got it... Bill pushes me and a large bump follows. I jumped up and started raising cain with Bill. He starts taunting me by pointing at his chin and saying real loud hit me and I'll kill ya...
Jerry was waiting for me to motion for help and the local boy was gonna clean house and be a hero, so I waited and waited and finally I backed into the ropes, sprang off and caught Bill right on the chin with a haymaker right. He took this huge bump, the crowd went nuts and I ran like crazy for the dressing room.
Jerry was mad at us because I didn't let him come save me. Bill's wife was mad at us because we embarrassed her by choking a midget, and Gene Anderson would not even look at us. As a matter of fact he would not even speak to us. All he said was "I should have known better."
I have other Bill Howard stories, but this is the one that got us in the most trouble...
