Bob
Roop-
Bob also had two stints in the Mid-Atlantic area, once in the early
70’s as a lowcard heel and then in 1985, when GCW and JCP merged. Bob
was a midcard heel at the time, but just because of his push with GCW. A
couple of months later, Bob returned to Florida where he teamed with
Kevin Sullivan and changed his name to Maya Singh.
Tatsumi
Fujinami-
Tatsumi made his entrance in the Carolinas in late 1975 known as Dr.
Fujinami where he was a lowcard babyface which was weird at the time,
because most Japanese wrestlers were always heels. Fujinami stayed in
the area for over a year and then returned to Japan where he became a
mega star and one of the top wrestlers in the entire decade of the
80’s.
Kamala-
Kamala came in the area in the summer of 1984 managed by Paul Jones and
immediately got involved in a feud with Jimmy Valiant. He only stayed a
couple of months until returning to the World Class area.
Terry
Taylor-
Terry came in the area as lowcard babyface in the Winter of 1981 and
only stayed a couple of months. He mainly feuded with Don Kernodle and
Jim Nelson until moving on to Memphis where he started to become a star.
Mr.Wrestling
II-
II worked JCP in 1981 as a high midcard babyface feuding with the likes
of Ivan Koloff and Mr. Fuji. II would eventually leave a few months
later going back to GCW.
Ernie
Ladd-
Ladd came into JCP in early 1984 with Gary Hart as his manager and he
feuded with Rufus R. Jones. Ladd and Rufus feuded over a couple of
months and Ladd even jobbed to then jobber Brickhouse Brown on TV. Ladd
left and went back to the Mid-South area where he became North American
champ later in the year.
Tony
Garea-
Tony came in the Carolinas in 1979 as a midcard babyface and stayed in
the area for almost a year after he became a lowcard babyface until
moving back to the WWF to feud with ex-partner Larry Zbyszko.
Masa
Fuchi-
Fuchi entered the area in 1983 strictly as a lowcard heel jobbing to
guys like Rufus R.Jones and Jimmy Valiant. Fuchi then went back to Japan
where he became a huge star and one of the best workers of his time.
Bruiser
Brody-
Brody made a couple of appearances in the Winter of 1982. Sir Oliver
Humperdink brought him in only to leave for Georgia. Brody’s rep was
not to stay in a territory too long and JCP was just one of the stops.
Randy
Savage-
Randy and his brother Lanny came in the area in the Summer of 1976 as a
midcard heel tag team. They stayed in the area for a few months before
moving on to Georgia and then starting their own group with their father
Angelo called ICW based out of Lexington, Kentucky.
Pedro
Morales-
Pedro entered the area in 1978 and stayed there for over a year as a
midcard babyface. Pedro came in as a former WWWF champ, but was just a
midcard guy. Pedro soon returned to the WWF in 1980 where he would go on
to win the Intercontinental champion.
