I didn't know where to begin when I started this piece, but a lot of things have transpired over recent times and now its time to VENT out. I want to start out by toasting a very special event in the Youngblood family history, last year (due to the WEB)  we had learned of a young man named Daniel who had claimed to be the son of my late brother Jay. Well you just don't believe everything you hear so I did a little investigating and met Daniel myself. This KID (early 20's) was a very close match to the man so many respected, this KID is indeed Jay's son, I'm not going to kayfabe the people (like so many others do) about the son Jay never knew!  

This man was conceived in a time when Jay was just breaking in the business, before he was married and had a loving wife and daughter. The KID endured a strength TEST, before he was even considered, but meeting him was like looking at Jay when he was a teenager. He came to Amarillo to meet a family he didn't even know, and was treated with due respect. 

On the morning of 9/11/01, terror hits the Northeast and chaos was among everyone in our country. On this day even the West Texas city of Amarillo was scared of what could happen, located only 12 mile east of Amarillo is a nuclear disassembly plant, that was once the #2 place  for a nuclear attack in our country. We had thought their was more planes in the air and possibly coming for us seeing the chaos unfold, we were all frightened of what COULD happen, total destruction!!! My wife took our children out of school and I came home from college, at home we prayed and cried and were looking at the end. If we were hit directly , I would assume we'd become the second Grand Canyon.  Experts say only radiation fallout would prevail, but who's to say. Not only was the Northeast affected, but little ol' Amarillo as well. I got the call about 10:30 am, my father called and was upset about the events, then he said, "Daniel works in the Pentagon". My jaw dropped, this newly acquired Kid we had adopted was in grave danger. The phone turned cold and distant, "Dad" I said "we need to see if he's okay!" Terror raced throughout my body gasping for answers. Seeing all the carnage on TV and answering questions from my 8yr.old daughter made me mad as hell, at whomever had done such a "CHICKEN S&!T JOB". These F'n Idiots will pay... We got the call back and it was Daniel, he was sent home from duty after what had happened.  

Daniel is active in the Army and I bet his father is looking down at him from Heaven, PROUD of this KID who will put his life on the line for this country and his family. We pray and hope to get this behind, but we pray for his devotion and return!!!  My loving wife has been very upset about what has happened, her father was a Green Beret in the Vietnam War and knew loved ones in the secret service, my wife bought a CD of music, because she heard it during the aftermath of chaos.  It's from the band COLDPLAY, and a song she dedicated from it is YELLOW, please listen, it sums up a period of all our lives at this time. Please pray for our families and loved ones, 'cause we're all effected by this traumatic experience. "GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
