- Steve Speed Hello Global Wrestling Federation fans! I'm Steven L. Speed and I'll be taking you back in time to 1991, where we saw the first stable to enter the GWF… The Cartel! This stable included Makhan Singh aka Norman The Lunatic and Bastion Booger, the wildman from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, Cactus Jack, a veteran in Hustler Rip Rogers and finally, the Palm Beach Hearthrob Scott Anthony aka Scotty the Body or more recently, Raven. Cactus Jack and Makhan Singh didn't hang around too long in the GWF and Rip Rogers disappeared leaving Scott Anthony by himself as the lone member of the Cartel. Anthony feuded with the Handsome Stranger (Marcus "Buff" Bagwell) for a few months, until the GWF TV title tournament, which was held due to The Patriot winning the GWF North American title and needing to vacate the TV title. Because of this, Max Andrews was suspended and eventually Scott Anthony left for WCW. 1991 was also the year fans saw the battle between the Patriots. The Original Patriot dominated the GWF singles rank by capturing the TV title and North American title. Then, in September of 1991, a man named the Dark Patriot (Doug Gilbert) appeared saying that he was the darkside of the Patriot. Slowly, the Dark Patriot worked his way up the ranks. DP was managed by Bruce Pritchard (Brother Love), who at the time, was a GWF commentator. More...
