- Manuel Gonzalez I want to apologize to all the wrestling fans who reads this column. I know all of you have been waiting this column to be updated, but I have personal reasons. My brother was running for Major of the city of Utuado on the November 7 elections. He won the election by just 107 votes. I worked as the electoral commissioner and during this time I had to train the people who will work that day on the event and also to take care of other things, and that took my time that I devoted to wrestling. However, I'm finally back. Thanks for your support. He finally came to Puerto Rico in September 1977 as a rule breaker and turned face a month later in a match against Carlos Colón. Chicky began his career in local Puerto Rican indies and has always used the name Chicky Starr since his debut. Chicky Starr wrestled as a babyface in the local scene mostly as tag team partner of Angelo Rivera, better known today as El Profe, the WWC TV show host. They were Caribbean Tag Team champions for the National Wrestling Association promotion in mid 1979. Both Starr and Chicky joined WWC in 1984. Quickly Starr began as a solo and babyface wrestler and they did the gimmick that had Invader 1 his teacher. Angelo went solo, also as a babyface, but didn't get fans reactions and WWC took him, hid him in a mask and the legend of El Profe began. More...
